"Congratulations on an incredible career," the Chiefs responded on the official team account. "Thank you for everything you’ve done for us."
Henne attended Wilson High School in West Lawn where he led the Bulldogs to the district semifinals and finished the season 9-2 his freshman year, according to the school's website.
As a Wolverine at the University of Michigan, Henne threw 87 touchdowns in 9,715 yards from 2004 to 2007.
Henne was drafted by the Miami Dolphins for the 2008 season before moving north to play with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2012. He joined the Chiefs in 2018.
